Anyone can create a Facebook account. Anyone. It doesn’t have to be you. Someone can create a pseudonym as a username. The purpose of that Facebook account would be a stealthy way of maligning someone’s reputation. For example, commentaries… photographs… and videos. You would not even be aware. Perhaps videos of me dancing like a lunatic! Laughing! Sucking face with a guy! Eating cupcakes! Photographs that have been altered – like in the magazines! Oh no… maybe sitting in the park with the ducks. That must be a confirmation that I am crazy!
At my school people consistently asked me “Do you have a Facebook account?” I emphatically and proudly responded “No!” Yet, they continued to ask me. I wondered… The I.E.P. teacher repeatedly asked. He would ask with the same sinister smile my co-teacher gave me when things would go wrong in the classroom. “Are you sure?” he would ask. “No!!!” I proudly responded. I would know if I created an account. Wouldn’t I?
There I go again… thinking like a crazy person. Who would take the time and effort to create such an account? Envious people. People whose sole life purpose is to harm, injure, and emit what they have in their souls. People who know that you are on the right track to something good… beautiful… and worthy. They saw my shine and wanted to extinguish it. But… as I told someone: ” No one can do that… only me.”
As the mayoral elections are fast approaching… I don’t really have a right to judge anyone whose private life has been exposed. Can you imagine politicians being privy to your personal photographs, videos, conversations, and texts? What would that indicate about you? What if that was a barometer for you to be hired? My friend said ” Well they are politicians. It is what is expected from them.” What is expected from teachers who intentionally destroy one’s carefully constructed reputation? What is expected from every human being in every field?
